I love the English Language. I love reading. I believe that reading to children is very important.

I love books.

I love books so much I don’t want to give them to my children. They have some really beautiful, stunning books that they don’t even know they have.

“Why?” you ask.

Because. They. Break. Books!

They tear pages. They draw in them. They use them as steps to reach things that are too high for them – no doubt put there by me so they don’t break it, whatever it is!

So as a consequence I ‘buy’ free online books and read them to them from my iPad.

I subscribe to those emails that alert you to free or cheap online books. These are usually books that are on sale or are free for a limited time. This is usually done as a marketing ploy so that if you enjoy the free book you will be more likely to pay for other books by the same author.

I get it.

The other reason books are free is because the author has decided to self-publish and are testing the waters. Unfortunately, these are often poorly edited and the layout is often unprofessional.

Current mailing alerts come from Bookbub, 100 Novels, Booktastik and of course I’m on Goodreads.

Let me know if you have any other sources that you can recommend.
