Being a woman in my early 40s, hormonal changes and years of sun exposure have taken a toll on my skin. I’ve struggled with dry skin that easily becomes oily when using the wrong products. So, when given the chance to try this product line, I was sceptical but pleasantly surprised by the outcomes, which I now feel compelled to share.

I was asked to review the hydrating qualities of the new collection from Hemsley Organics, the Anahatta Collection. This collection is their Age Defying collection, and the full collection is made up of six products.

The Hemsley Organics Age Defying Cleanser
They recommend you start with the cleanser. This should be used to gently clean your face and neck to remove any dirt and oils that have built up. It is honestly so creamy it feels like you’re applying a cream to your skin. After applying and massaging your face, you rinse it off with warm water. They recommend you repeat the process twice, and I guess that’s why this is the largest quantity of product in the collection; however, you don’t need to use a lot per cleanse.
Hemsley Organics Age-Defying Hydration Mist
This might just be my favourite product in this collection! You can use it as a hydrating mist directly after the cleanser or as a toner applied with a cotton pad.
I’ve also been using it throughout the day when I feel my skin might need a bit of rescuing. It’s been incredibly windy and cold recently and when I get back in after taking the dogs for a walk, I feel the weather has taken a toll on my face, so when I get in, I spritz my face for that extra hydrating boost. And I absolutely love the smell of this product. It smells clean!
Hemsley Organics Age-Defying Intensive Eye Serum
The age defying eye serum from the Anahatta Collection feels like a luxury. It is a smooth, silky serum, and you only need a couple of drops per eye. After patting it into the skin and leaving it for 30-60 seconds. After using this for around two weeks now, I can feel that the bags under my eyes are softer, less strained and more hydrated than they have been for a very long time.
Hemsley Organics Age Defying Intensive Face Serum
The face serum is applied by warming it between your fingertips and then applying to your face and neck. Basically, it does for your face and neck what the eye serum does for your eyes. The first few times I used it, it just disappeared into my skin, my face was that dry. After using the products for a few weeks now, I can really feel the difference, and I use the serum as a treat every few days.
Hemsley Organics Age Defying Day Cream
The day cream is another great product. Whilst they say you should use the day cream after the serum, I have not been using both. I use either or, and the reason is that I’m always in a rush in the morning and don’t always have time for the full 6-step process. However, even if I skip a couple of the steps above, the day cream is brilliant. The smell is quite an earthy and natural smell and one I’ve come to associate with getting the day started.
Hemsley Organics Age-Defying Night Cream
I recently started exercising again after many, many years of not. I typically do this in the evenings and I now look forward to the nighttime skincare routine, which ends with applying this amazing night cream. The soft hydrating quality of all the products ending with the night cream, is like a trigger for my brain to relax and start to wind down after a long day. The best part is waking up in the morning, and my skin is just as hydrated as it was when I went to bed.
What Ingredients Do Hemsley Organics Use?
The main ingredient across the Anahatta range is Bulgarian Rose Water.
Bulgarian rose water is fragrant water made from the steam distillation of rose petals. It is known for its soothing and hydrating properties and is widely regarded as some of the finest in the world due to the unique growing conditions and the species of roses found in Bulgaria.
The qualities that Bulgarian Rose water brings to the Hemsley Organics range include:
- Naturally rich in flavonoids and vitamins A, C, D, E + B3.
- Provides hydration and works to balance skins natural pH balance.
- Plumps skin. Reducing fine lines & wrinkles whilst preventing new ones.
- Protects skin from harmful free radicals. Fighting oxidative stress during the day.
Other organic and vegan ingredients across the Anahatta range include:
- Ashwagandha – deeply moisturizes and hydrates the skin by enhancing the production of hyaluronic acid, resulting in smoother, firmer, brighter, and softer skin with consistent use.
