The fact that I usually post these Instagram Round-ups over the weekend, and I’m only getting around to it today now that it’s Monday gives you a small indication of how hectic life has been this weekend.

Day trip to Jozi, braaing with friends, feeling generally rubbish and now my youngest and I both have a cold. It’s been crazy.

Nevertheless, let’s get this show on the road …

No. 5: The bottom of my laundry basket! Can you believe it! I thought it was a myth, but on the 15th of August 2017, I finally discovered it! I never thought the day would come and so had to take photographic evidence! Who knew? Needless to say, it’s full now, as is the spare – basically a weekend hangover for mom’s is double laundry on a Monday.

No. 4: Wine Wednesday quote from this week, kids + wine = #brokeforever. Nothing more to say on that.

No. 3: Scrolling back to last Sunday, we went to a local game reserve for lunch with some friends. It’s quite a ‘nice’ place so I made sure the girls were dressed in their nice clothes, no holes or stains etc. #thestruggleisreal When we got there, they decided to spend the rest of the day walking the rocks below the dam wall and rolled their tights up to look almost like hot pants, and they had mud on their legs up to their knees. They had great fun and it reminded me why we live here in Africa. My girls are certainly not city kids!

No. 2: I’ve had a bit of trouble with my youngest not wanting to go to school. This quote is from the blog post I wrote about it – Heartbreak and Mom Guilt. Thankfully the rest of the week improved after this post was published, but she’s off school sick today. I hope it doesn’t set up back again. Love my girls.

No. 1: I have discovered a new sense of self-confidence as a mom. This quote hit the nail on the head. You can read up on the post I wrote about it: I Used To Be A Sheep

So there we have it. My round-up from last week. Wishing you all a blessed Monday.

On that note, I’d also like to wish my husband a happy 8th wedding anniversary for today. Thanks for putting up with me, and in return “You’re welcome”. Love you x
