I don’t really have a lot to say today. It’s one of those days when I just want to crawl into bed, block out the day-light and maybe resurface tomorrow with a more positive frame of mind.

So on that note, I thought I would share a few of my favorite photos from our short holiday to Zimbabwe, my home country.

Our dusty drive-way … the beautiful red earth ground that is so rich in color and so fruitful, but alas, it stains Everything. I only pack ‘old’ or already stained clothes when we go there!

Free range chickens … nesting wherever they please.

‘Free range’ peacocks …

Flowers from the garden.

And then on the flip side, we had a few day trips to Harare on business:
Saw these guys catching a lift. Crazy!

Parking restrictions in the city center.

Accident on Samora Machel drive in 08.00am traffic – nightmare!

The church where my grandparents were married in the late 1940s (I think).

Average temperature last week was around 35 degrees Celcius. Melting hot and humid!

Favorite time of day: needless to say … wine o’clock.

Now, if you made it to the end, let me know if you can spot the peacock hiding in the featured photo. Don’t spoil the surprise, just comment yes or no.
