This has been a busy week, but a good week for me. We had an extra week of holidays so it was really good to be back home and in a routine. Some people hate it, but my girls and I need routine, order and a bit of predictability.

On to the round-up.

In at No. 5: We made home-made pizza the other night. That might be an exaggeration, but I played safe, bought a Margherita pizza from Woolworths (SA version of M&S) and then the girls added their own toppings, each with their own specific taste in mind. My eldest is a pineapple fan, where as the youngest is NOT. The youngest is an olive fan, the eldest is not. Personally, I like either, but not together. I thought we were normal, but if you read the comments, it turns out we’re not! lol

No. 4: I did a personal review this week of the Tangle Teezer hair brushes. They have been part of my mothering regime for years, even when I was ‘only’ a step-mom. If you don’t already own one, you should read my review and I guarantee you will consider it! So many of my readers agree because again, it’s been a very popular blog post.

No. 3 My #winewednesday post made the top 5 again – it’s a bit of a confusing question (not), but nevertheless it’s basically rhetorical. Cheers lovelies!

No. 2: The comment on this post says it all really! To all you moms of girls, you are winning, you are doing great, and even if that feeling lasts for 5 seconds of each day before they remind you of how hard it is remember that you are doing a good job. Share and send this on to anyone who needs to be cheered up! I’m also on Pinterest where I post little ditties like this that I make up, or other ones that I find and identify with.

No. 1: I did a post on Monday which has been a blogging hit for me. Easily one of my most popular posts to date. I’ve had loads of views, shares and comments – thanks to you all. The strange thing is that it was a bit of a weird post. Very personal and very awkward. It’s about how socially awkward my eldest and I are, but also about how we don’t really feel comfortable displaying physical signs of affection towards each other but that in no way diminishes our love for each other. I have been so surprised by how many people have identified with this post. Thank you to you all.

One of the reasons it’s been a good week for me is that I have finally launched my blog’s Facebook page, AND I am running my first ever Giveaway. My blog is nearly a year old, and I’m finally branching. If you feel like sharing the love, please check out my Facebook page and like or share it. The giveaway is only open to residents of SA or those with an SA postal address, but any likes or shares would still be much appreciated.
